Experienced owner chooses Electrolux for his latest venture – Plaza Coin Laundry

May 3, 2010 – Inwood, New York – Bermil Industries Corporation announced the opening of Plaza Coin Laundry located in Westminster, Colorado. After owning and operating a total of nine Laundromats, owner Roger Idler has an impressive track record. Plaza Coin Laundry is his first Electrolux professional laundry-equipped store and he couldn’t be more pleased.

 Plaza Coin Laundry was an existing laundry that had been closed for two years. The new location is about two and a half miles from another financially successful store he bought two years ago. “When I compared the demographics between the two stores, this new location was even better,” expressed Roger. “I figured that if someone was going to take some of my business by reopening the store, it ought to be me!” 

 Roger first learned about the Plaza Coin location from authorized Bermil (Wascomat and Electrolux Professional) dealer Rob Burgess, owner of Advanced Laundry Systems. “Rob Burgess introduced me to the Wascomat brand when I built my first Colorado store 15 years ago,” shared Roger. “We stayed in touch and have become good friends. I know how hard he works to keep his customers satisfied and I trust him.”

 The SMS texting feature is an available option on all Electrolux Professional washers. The machines can text the customer when the wash is done and can even text the owner when the money box is full. “The machine can actually send a text message to receive a service call,” said Rob. “It’s incredible! Bermil Industries hires Regional Business Manager Allen Berndt

April 27, Inwood, New York – Bermil Industries, which distributes and markets Wascomat and Electrolux brand laundry equipment in North America, has hired Allen Berndt as its Regional Business Manager. Mr. Berndt is responsible for maximizing market penetration and developing strong business relationships with Bermil distributors and customers in the Midwest as well as Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Berndt was the IPSO Regional Sales Manager for Alliance Laundry Systems, where he managed the distribution network throughout 11 states. Specific duties included sales training, implementing distribution changes to effectively penetrate markets, and working closely with dealers to secure key business opportunities. Previous to this role, Mr. Berndt held financial positions in the laundry industry where he was responsible for working with high-end investors and dealers from across the country. Berndt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ripon College.

Bermil Industries announces “Laundrylux” trade name

April 19, Inwood, New York – Bermil Industries Corporation, distributor of the Wascomat and Electrolux brands of commercial & professional laundry equipment in North America, will be using the trade name “Laundrylux” in its marketing, advertising, and communications.

Neal Milch, CEO of Bermil, explains the decision. “Our company has been known as ‘Wascomat’ by the market for over 50 years, but now that we also market a separate line of Electrolux brand laundry equipment it was clear we needed a trade name that would cover both product lines. We strongly support the Wascomat and Electrolux brands, so we needed a trade name that reflects the high quality of both brands. ‘Laundrylux’ shows our roots in the laundry business and the ‘lux’ reflects the superior quality & advanced technology of our products. Our new corporate website www.laundrylux.com links to separate dedicated web sites for Electrolux brand professional and Wascomat brand commercial laundry equipment, and all our staff email addresses will change to laundrylux.com addresses. This unified approach under the Laundrylux trade name will facilitate effective marketing of both brands going forward. While all our laundry products will carry either the Wascomat or Electrolux brand depending on the specific model, they are now marketed by Bermil Industries doing business as Laundrylux.”
