There’s much more to Milnor than world renowned laundry machinery.
Our products are backed by extensive engineering and manufacturing capabilities, plus unmatched product support.
Milnor is stable, capable, and accountable.
Jim Pellerin, company president, represents the third generation of Pellerins to lead the company since its inception in 1947.
Over 600 people work at Milnor’s 400,000 sq. ft. (37,160 sq. m.) factory in suburban New Orleans.
Machines produced here are shipped throughout the world. We were the first Louisiana manufacturer to earn the President’s E-Star Award for excellence in exporting.
Milnor has an extensive range of wash/dry capabilities.
Milnor’s product range includes washer-extractors from 20 to 700 lbs. capacity (9 to 317 kg), automated tunnel washing systems for processing 7,000 lbs. (3,175 kg) per hour or more, denim processing machinery, dryers, materials handling systems, and laundry computer networks. These machines are used for a wide range of applications–from giant linen and industrial rental plants, to textile dyeing and apparel processing plants, to coin laundries.
Few US companies can match Milnor’s depth of computer integration.
It extends from concept development, through computer-aided design and product testing, to computer-aided manufacturing. Solid state laundry machinery controls are designed and built in-house. Product innovation is so important that a 25,000 sq. ft. (2300 sq. m) engineering center is devoted to it.
Milnor’s factory is a true manufacturing facility, not merely an assembly plant.
Machines are built from the ground up. Flat sheets of steel are cut, punched and shaped. Components are machined to tolerances as close as .001 inch. After welding, assembly and multiple-coat painting, every machine is given a final series of tests and does not leave the factory until it passes with flying colors.
Product support is wide-ranging.
The Laundry Engineering Department can produce cost and equipment analyses, plus detailed layouts of machinery and systems. They also work with architects and consultants, providing a large amount of technical data.
Customer service personnel and Milnor dealers can help make installation and startup go quickly and smoothly. About 25,000 spare parts are stocked at the factory, which is only five minutes from New Orleans International Airport. In addition, Milnor dealers worldwide also maintain an inventory of spare parts. Service seminars and videotapes help keep customer technicians up to date on Milnor machines.
When Milnor engineers develop new software and hardware, they do it with prior products in mind to help permit upgrades of many older models.
